Appliance & Equipment Efficiency Standards:
New Opportunities for States

ASAP and ACEEE's January 2005 report, "Leading the Way: Continued Opportunities for New State Appliance and Equipment Efficiency Standards," details the opportunity for new state energy efficiency standards. The report reviews the history of state and federal standards, currently existing standards at the state and federal level and recommends new standards. For each newly recommended standard, the report provides detailed information on the product and the standard. We provide data here on the impacts these standards would have if adopted by individual states. This report updates prior reports released by ASAP and ACEEE.
