Federal standards for ice-makers were adopted in the Energy Policy Act of 2005. The federal standards go into effect in 2010. In the interim, state standards adopted by Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington are in force. These standards are essentially identical to the federal standard. DOE is scheduled to revise the federal standards by January 2015.
There is no recent ASAP activity regarding commercial clothes washers.
